It's the most wonderful time of the year

Hello lovelies!

I am so sorry for the delay! It is 1:45am on the first of January 2013 here in Sydney and my internet just started working so I thought I'd publish my Christmas day outfit post!

I love Christmas! I love spending time with my family and having a relaxed day. As usual, I spent Christmas day at my grandparents' amazing house. I spend it wih my dad's side of the family, but this year there was only 10 of us, instead of 16. It was a lot quieter, but still very enjoyable.

What I wore:

Top: Ralph Lauren
Skirt: Valleygirl
Blazer: Cotton On
Shoes: Rubi
Bag: Ann Taylor
Necklace: gift from a friend
Bracelet: Thomas Sabo charm bracelet
Ring: Lovisa

Chanel Gardenia is my absolute favourite perfume of all time and I tend to wear it on really special occasions, like birthdays and christmases.

I really liked this outfit! It was kind of annoying having to wear a jacket because Christmas in Sydney is usually much hotter and sunnier. It actually rained all day on the 25th which was unfortunate.

I hope each and every one of you had a lovely christmas filled with fun, food and family. I love Christmas as I get to spend time with the ones I love.

I am heading up the coast in a few days but luckily I will have internet in the apartment I'm staying in so I will be able to update my blog!

All my love and happy holidays!

Phoebe xo

P.S, I recently redecorated my bedroom so I'll put a post up soon!

Christmas lunch, take one.

Hello lovelies!

Yesterday afternoon, my family and I all went to my grandmother's place for Christmas lunch with my mother's side of the family. I love Christmas time and it's always good to catch up with my family. It was a really fun day. One thing I love about Christmas in Australia is that it is summer, which means lots of sun and swimming. I also got a heap of cute presents which is always a bonus :)

What I wore
Dress: Valleygirl
Shoes: Morocco wedges from Rubi
Bag: Mulberry
Necklace: A gift from my friend Mel
Bracelets: assorted
Cross ring: Lovisa
Stone ring: Colette by Colette Hayman

This dress has been in my sister's closet for ages and I found it recently and thought it would be cute. It was really comfortable except it was a bit ill-fitted around the bust area as it was designed for more flat-chested people than myself but nevertheless it was really nice.

The bag is my go-to clutch for any occasion day or night. The neutral colour is perfect.

The stone/fake engagement-type ring is gorgeous! It is super elegant and classy and the style is really classic.

Happy Christmas everyone!

Lots of love,
Phoebe xx

Carols in the Domain

Hey loves!

Last night I went to the annual Carols in the Domain. Carols in the Domain is a huge event held in The Domain in Sydney around Christmas time, and it is attended by about 100,000 or so people. My family has been going for the past three years.

What I wore
Top: Forever 21
Jeans: Free Fusion @ Target
Shoes: Joey boots from Rubi Shoes
Bag: Valentina
Necklace: Colette by Colette Hayman
Bangles: Colette by Colette Hayman
Rings: Colette Dinnigan for Lovisa

I bought this top from Forever 21 on Fifth Avenue in NYC when I was there at the end of last year. I love the colours and the vertical stripe pattern. It is also quite warm.

The bag is adorable! I got it for my 17th from my grandmother. She bought it when she was in Venice and it is amazing! The leather is of great quality and I like the colour because it is different.

We were sitting in the VIP Lawn area, which was right at the front of the event. We were super close to the stage and had the best view of the concert and the fireworks.

It was a really fun night and I had a great time. It really got me into the Christmas spirit.

All my love,

Girls night out

Hi everyone!

Last night I went out with my three best friends Mel, Winnie and Emma. We went out to the Max Brenner Chocolate Cafe for a chocolate fuelled energy kick and then we went to the movies to see Pitch Perfect. It was a really fun movie and I had a great time catching up with the girls.

What I wore

Dress: Cotton On
Shoes: Seed
Bag: Louis Vuitton
Bangle: Knock-off Cartier Love bangle from Shanghai
Necklace: Bee necklace from Lovisa
Rings: Lovisa
Nail Polish: "All Kendall-ed Up" from Nicole by OPI's Kardashian Kolors collection

This dress has been one of my favourites for ages! I love how simple it is and I basically wear it everywhere!

I absolutely adore this bangle! Emma got it for me as a gift when she was in Shanghai and I love it. I normally hate buying designer knock offs as I much prefer to pay more for a more quality piece. I would rather spend a lot of money on a designer luxury good that will last for years and years. I've had my eye on a Cartier Love bangle for ages now which is why I asked Em to get me one. I think they are so elegant and beautiful and I can't wait to own a real one someday in the future. I would be more than happy to pay the $6,300 price tag that comes with the Cartier Love bangle but unfortunately as a 17 year old high schooler on a casual babysitter's salary, I cannot even remotely afford the bangle at this time. However, I will own one eventually.

This bee necklace from Lovisa is adorable! I think it is so sweet. The idea behind it is the whole Queen Bee/ most popular girl in school idea (it comes with a pouch labelled "Queen Bee" with a paragraph about holding your head high etc.) but I am none of those so I bought it for a whole other reason. My closest friends and some family members call me Bee, it's kind of a nickname for those closest to me. The necklace was also on a gold chain and in a gold setting and I need more gold jewellery, but mainly for the first reason.

Dinner with my family

Hi my loves!

On Tuesday night I went out with my immediate family and my grandparents from my dad's side of the family for chinese. It was to celebrate my brother getting dux and kind of a welcome home for my sister. We have been going to this restaurant for as long as I can remember and it is so familiar and welcoming. They all know my family on a first name basis and they are so friendly to us. Plus the food is the most amazing chinese food ever! It s by far my favourite chinese restaurant ever!

What I wore

Top: Ralph Lauren
Skirt: Zara
Shoes: Seed
Single cross ring: Lovisa
Stacked cross rings: Lovisa
Clutch: Ann Taylor
Nail Polish: "All Kendall-ed Up" from Nicole by OPI's Kardashian Kolors range

I absolutely love this clutch! My aunty got it for me for my 17th birthday from the outlets in Hawaii and I love it to bits! It is so glittery and sparkly and I think it is so me. The silver colour is great and I will be able to wear it with anything. It is the perfect statement piece.

The top is super adorable and so comfy. It's quite casual which makes it easy to dress it up and down. This skirt is also one of my favourites. I bought it at the Zara store on Fifth Avenue in New York City on the 31st of December 2011. I can wear it in summer and winter, day or night which is why it is perfect.

These bracelets are a common feature of my outfit posts. Since they are from all different people, places and brands, it is quite difficult/annoying to say the brand and etc in every post that I'm wearing them. For future reference, I will do it now. From left to right in the photo above: Black coral bracelet from Agatha Paris, pearl bracelet from Peeptoe Shoes, knock-off Tiffany's bracelet from Shanghai (the newest addition to my collection), evil eye bracelet from Turkey which was a gift from a family friend about 7 years ago, simple silver bracelet from a family friend for my 13th birthday, a silver bracelet which was a present from my mum when I was about 14 and a simple cross bracelet I bought from Sportsgirl.

Shopping trip!

Hi everyone!

As you guys know, I got my ears pierced about a week ago and ever since I have been obsessed with buying myself earrings. I have a heap of pairs at home but all of them were given to me as presents. I had some cash lying around from a few babysitting jobs so I thought I'd go shopping and get myself some earrings, among other things.

My first stop was Colette by Colette Hayman. I love the accessories, so I was sure I would find some decent pieces there.

This six pack of studs is so great. I especially love the fake pearl studs and the crystal ones and I'm sure I'll use them a lot.

When I saw these chandelier earrings I knew I had to have them. They are so sparkly and gorgeous! I have no idea what I will wear with them, or what I will wear them to, but I'm sure I'll be able get some use out of them.

It's hard to tell in this picture, but the gems in these earrings are a pale pinky-peach colour. They are so simple and elegant.

Although I didn't need another pair of fake eyelashes, I just had to have these ones. I feel like they are the perfect combination of length and volume. They aren't too dramatic and they aren't too fine.

My next stop was Lovisa.

I got these gorgeous flat silver heart studs from Lovisa and they are so cute. They are so simple that I'm sure I'll be able to wear them during the day and with any outfit.

I have way too many pieces of cross jewellery but I got this ring because there was a sale at Lovisa where you bought one ring and got a ring free. I thought this one was really nice; the only other cross ring I have is a two finger one.

This ring is definitely my new favourite! It's an amethyst colour but in different light it sometimes can look grey, black or purple. I absolutely love the size! This is actually from Lovisa's vintage range and it definitely has a gorgeous vintage feel to it.

Love,

Brother's presentation day

Hi lovelies!

On Thursday I attended my brother's school presentation day because it was his last one and also because he was getting an award. I thought he'd be getting an award for english or maybe for sport but it turns out that he got dux! He is the smartest boy in his grade! It was so exciting! I am so proud of him! He gets his name printed on a board in the school's assembly hall, and the board was actually donated to the school by my grade when we were in year 6 which is pretty cool.

I can't believe that he is going to be in high school next year! It scares me so much, because I still remember the day he was born and when I got to see him for the first time. It is insane how fast time flies! Now that's he's going to a new school, I technically don't have any connections to my primary school (besides the fact I went there for seven years) which is sad! It's just going to be weird.

What I wore

Dress: Ice Design
Shoes: Morocco wedges from Rubi Shoes
Bag: Louis Vuitton Speedy
Bracelets: Colette by Colette Hayman
Ring: Colette by Colette Hayman
Necklace: Lovisa
Nail polish: Valentine from Sportsgirl
Lipstick: Sweet Valentine from Sportsgirl

I apologise for the horrible mirror shots! My usual photographer is currently on a trip to Shanghai so I had to take these photos myself.

I absolutely love this lipstick colour! It's a kind of hot pink colour and I think it suits me quite nicely, if I do say so myself.

I bought the dress when I was in year 8 and I think it is quite nice. I love the lace detailing and the fabric is really lightweight. And as I have said before, the wedges are super comfy!

Love,
Phoebe xx

P.S, it's only 10 more days until Christmas! x
