S is for Snow vs. Sand

Personally, I prefer the snow to the beach.

The snow is so much fun! I don't exactly like skiing in the snow, although I can do it but just not overly well. In my opinion, the best snow in the world is in Geneva, Switzerland and the Beaver Creek/Bachelor's Gulch/Avon area in Colorado, USA. The snow at these two places is very powdery which I love! I didn't like the snow in London as it was very icy and not great to make snowballs out of. Snow is also great because you can eat it. You may get some dirt and pine needles in your mouth, but it is still fun and way better than trying to digest sand.

However, with that being said, the beach is great. Living in Australia, it is almost impossible for one to dislike the beach. In fact, I have spent the past week up the coast at a lovely beachside town I visit every year with my family. I have practically been living at the beach this past week; My hair looks blonder and my skin is tanner which I am loving. It is a welcome change from my usual paleness.

The cold is my climate of choice, I must say. I find it easier to bear the cold as you can just throw on layers of clothes. In the heat, there is only so much you can do to stay cool.

I don't hate the beach, I just prefer snow.

Which do you prefer; Snow or Sand? Leave me a comment!

  2. I like a little snow each winter (enough to give the kids a snow day or two) but my heart remains true to summer....and if it's summer and I am at the ocean....bliss!
