I am not a very sporty person, so it is a big deal to me when I find a sport that I love! I need something fun to keep me motivated and energised, and field hockey is the perfect sport for me, as well as dancing.
There is nothing better than running around a hockey pitch when your stressed and just whacking the ball with all your might. It is a very good stress reliever I must say. You can take all your anger out when you just smash the ball down the field. I really get into it. Sometimes, I end up yelling at everyone. It's intense.
The hockey season takes place during third term, so around August-September. This is usually a busy term at school, especially this year as it I will be doing my Preliminary HSC exams, so it is a good way to take a break from everything at school.
I play field hockey for fun, not seriously. I don't like being put in a really good, competitive team. I prefer a sucky, lower team.

I used to love hockey, but played so long ago that I forgot the rules. Now fencing is my sport of choice. :-)
